Gorgeous Hand Painted Pink Roses in Antique Gesso Frame

Large and lush hand painted pink roses are surrounded by a fabulous antique gesso frame. The 'canvas' itself is actually an old piece of wood. Rather than removing the old wood backing of the frame, I painted over the original dark, dreary painting that was there when I found this lovely treasure. The gesso frame was originally painted gold, as was the style in its day. I've left the old wood backing as is, rather than paint it and hide its patina and charm.
This fabulous painting & frame measures 24" x 16½" x 21¼". It's ready to hang in that special place in your cottage home!
PLEASE NOTE: Although it is my preference to do some distressing and "shabbying-up" on pieces that I repaint, I chose to leave the frame "clean," for those who prefer that. However, if you would like a little distressing added to the frame, I'd be happy to do that.
